Cellulite is fat that has accumulated in a lump or in lumps just under the skin. The little lumps that cellulite can create are very visible on the outer skin. This condition seems to be more of a cosmetic issue because it is harmless as far as medical problems go.

Creams with added menthol also seem to work better than others as menthol is known to help promote good circulation.

Water retention has also been known to create cellulite in different areas of the body. Reducing the amount of water that is retained in the body is an option for people when looking into how to lose cellulite. There are several different products on the market today that help in reducing the excess build up of water. Caffeine that is found in coffee and other products can also act as a diuretic and keep water from staying in one are of the body for too long. Many of the over the counter cellulite creams will have caffeine added to them as an ingredient. A healthy diet can also help to keep cellulite from accumulating on the body. Eating right and keeping the body healthy will help to keep cellulite from being stored in the problem areas.

One method people should look to when researching on how to lose cellulite is exercise. Exercising thighs, buttock and the abdominal areas can help to boost circulation and also will work to tighten muscles and lose fat. Fat is one of the leading factors to many kinds of cellulite problems. Combining exercise with a good diet will give the person an even higher chance of being able to lose the cellulite.
